UPDATE 30-11-2024

Roof brackets are now on with the maxtraxs installed...

One more tweak to the deck.... should be on next week.

We now have 4 styles of roof brackets.

We added an ariel mount bracket .....might tweak this a little more yet... but looking good.

UPDATE 8-12-2024

We have all the brackets installed on our test vehicle now.

The deck plates have been cut and folded...

We are just waiting on some parts to arrived so we can install the roof top tent for testing.

Our awning has arrived for fitting and testing....

So we will have some pictures available soon.

All up this system will be quite adaptive.

You will have a choice of just the Maxtrax bracket for mounting them to the roof.

We have a Maxtrax and Xspec side fuel tank bracket on the drawing board also.

Then depending on what you want with your roof rack you can go with 2 half panels...

Suitable for non roof top mounting as this will give you plenty of space and tie down points.

Then we have split the other option into three sections.

You can order all three sections or just the front and rear section.

This is the option we will be testing with the roof top tent.

Or you could just order the rear section with awning and Maxtrax brackets.

If you just want to load the roof at the rear of the vehicle.

UPDATE. 18-12-2024

As you can see in the picture we have our roof rack system fully installed.

We will now do some testing....make sure we haven't missed anything then we are good to go.

Roof Rack Brackets....

Type 1 … Short…. These are flat with the roof deck.

Type 2…. Arial… This one has a nut welding into the top so you can screw your ariel mount straight in. You would usually only have one of these.

Type 3…. Max… These are to attach the Maxtrax mounting plate on to the roof.. 3 of these are required….

Type 4…. Awning… These have been designed mount an awning onto the side of the vehicle. 6 of these are required to help spread the load of the awning across all 6 mounting points.

( we still have to check these against all the different awning types, so volunteers are still needed..)

Roof Decks

These are 2 types/ styles

Half decks or 1/3rd decks

Depending on what you are putting on the roof will decide what deck you will need.

So if you were to only want to use the rear third of your roof you can just get the rear deck ( Deck plate 3)

If you want to put a roof top tent on you would choose decks 1 and 3.

If you still only wanted to use just the rear half of your roof you would choose deck 5

If you wanted to use all the roof but wanted the the decks in 3rds you would choose Decks 1 , 2 and 3  ( this is easier to mount than the half decks if you are on your own )

If you wanted to use all the roof but wanted it in the half sections you would choose decks 4 and 5

Pricing.

We have been waiting for our testing, so over the holidays I went on a trip to test the system out

Mainly to test for wind noise, but also that the system worked.

Happy to report it did, so will have to pull my finger out and get that sorted.
